This exhibition, entitled "Landscapes and Lifeways", captures the fleeting moments during which the people and landscapes that many of us know so well reveal themselves to be vastly richer and more layered than we are able to perceive them to be in the blur of daily life. Photographed on a variety of formats ranging digital to large format film cameras.
On display through February 2018.
Parking is available across the street at the Alii Place building on Alakea Street.
On display are some large Hawai'i landscape photographs I've taken in the last 5 years. The photographs were shot in several formats from 35mm digital to 4x5 film. They are beautifully mounted on acrylic frame.
Ohana Grille is a great new restaurant in Edgewater Colorado. With a distinct menu offering, Chef Rich emulates the local street food of Hawaii by blending the cuisine of the many Asian cultures that live there with American and European flavors. Many of the dishes start with Asian inspired staples like noodles and fried rice.
Add in popular Colorado flare, like street tacos, and fantastic Hispanic flavor, and you get the best of several cultural cuisines in a delicious medley of flavor. Using only the highest quality ingredients, Ohana Grille is spreading the warm Aloha spirit, one bite at a time.
If you are in the area, make sure you stop by!
Treehouse (No longer displayed)
I’m happy to share a small selection of some of my favorite images taken in Waikiki and on a recent trip to Japan. While I enjoy landscape and portraiture, I have found street photography has quickly become my favorite form of media as it gives me a surprising sense of peace in observing people in various moods and moments. I enjoy capturing opportunities to silently tell a subtle “story” which is what street photography truly means to me.
This display is shared with two other local photographers who also shoot film, process, and print their own work. It will be up from April 1 - April 30th 2017.

Local Joe Hawaii
Local Joe is a great new coffee shop on the edge of Downtown Honolulu. They feature freshly roasted coffee and delicious baked goods. They are located on 110 Marin Lane. @localjoehi.
On display at Local Joe's is my Chinatown Street series. It's a fitting location to display images of the surrounding neighborhood. This series was photographed over the course of a year and a half using a medium format film camera. I developed and printed them in my darkroom using Ilford fiber matte paper. The complete set or individual prints are available for sale. If you are interested please contact me here.
The Chinatown Street series is no longer displayed here. We are currently showing a mix of Waikiki and Japan Street photography.
